Hydraulic Lift Support System

Today, I will introduce hydraulic outriggers. Commonly used hydraulic outriggers for hydraulic lifts can be roughly divided into the following types.

The movable outrigger of the frog-type outrigger is hinged to the fixed outrigger, and its unfolding action is completed by the hydraulic cylinder. Its characteristics are simple structure and light weight, but the outrigger span is not large, and it is only suitable for small-tonnage cranes.

The H-type outrigger is not commonly used in hydraulic lifts and has two hydraulic cylinders. After the movable outrigger is deployed, the vertical outrigger supports the ground during operation, and it is named because it is H-shaped. Its characteristics are large outrigger span and good site adaptability. It has been widely used at present.

When the X-type outrigger is working, the outrigger is X-shaped, and the ground clearance is small. During the process of supporting the ground with both feet, horizontal displacement will occur. When it is smaller, the moving space of the heavy object is larger than that of the H-type outrigger. Therefore, it is often used in combination with the H-type leg to form a front H and rear X type.

The radial outrigger extends radially downward from the basin-shaped frame of the frame with the center of rotation of the turntable as the center, with 4 legs. Its characteristic is good stability. During lifting operations, all loads do not pass through the frame, but directly act on the outriggers. This can reduce the weight of the chassis, lower the height of the center of gravity of the whole machine, and protect the chassis from damage. It is mainly used for some super-large cranes.

These are the more common hydraulic outriggers on the market. The role of the outriggers is to provide a larger support span for the lift without increasing the width of the lift, so as to avoid reducing the maneuverability of the lift. Under this condition, the lifting and lowering operation of the elevator is more stable.
