The hydraulic oil used to lubricate the scissor lift's gears is the lifeblood of the hydraulic system. If solid impurities enter, it will cause damage, scoring, or blockage of the plunger components and main oil passages, seriously affecting the operation of the hydraulic system. Common ways for solid impurities to enter the hydraulic system include: dirty hydraulic oil; dirty filling materials; careless filling and maintenance; and swarf from hydraulic components.
What issues should be paid attention to during the daily maintenance of a scissor lift?
1. The scissor lift should be cycled three times without load before operation.
2. Carefully check the hydraulic system and electrical system before use to ensure there are no leaks or abnormalities.
3. During use, the four support legs should be firmly on the ground. If the wheels are about to leave the ground, use wooden blocks as needed.
4. Power and hydraulic system should be connected during use.
5. Overloading is strictly prohibited.
6. During use, the center of gravity of the load should be at the center of the platform.
7. The movable gates on both sides of the guardrail should be closed and locked tightly.
8. If the lift cannot reach the maximum height, check if the hydraulic oil level meets the required scale.
What should be done if the scissor lift fails to lower?
1. With the lowering button pressed, use a multimeter to check if the lowering valve has power. If not, check the wiring and troubleshoot.
2. If there is power to the lowering valve when the lowering button is pressed, the lowering valve itself is defective and needs to be checked. In dusty environments, the electromagnetic coil should be removed and cleaned.
3. Excessive dust can cause relay failure. Clean and reinstall to test. Then disassemble and clean the vane pump of the lowering valve. The vane pump should not be stuck, and it must be kept clean and move freely.
4. Adjust the lowering speed control valve if it is out of balance. If the adjustment fails, replace the valve.
